ADULT WHEELTHROWING- (Ages 13+)

8 WEEK SESSION- $370
- MONDAY 10am-12pm
- MONDAY 6-8pm
- WEDNESDAY 10am-12pm
- THURSDAY 6pm-8pm
Classes meet for 2 hours each week for eight weeks. Lessons each week include demos and individual teaching for 1 hour. Work and practice your skills for the remaining hour on your own. Tuition includes use of tools, glazes, firing, and clay.
Beginner through advanced students (ages 13 and up), will learn the basic techniques of working with clay, with demonstrations accompanying the instructions. Students will practice throwing and shaping the basic forms of the cylinder and bowl on the potters wheel, to create functional and decorative pieces. Form and function will be discussed, and attention to detail emphasized. Trimming and glazing techniques are also be covered.
Payment is due on or before the first class.
Things to know:
- Bring a hand towel to clean/dry your hands.
- Wear clothing to get messy in and/or bring an apron.
- Bring a bag to carry wet, messy towels/apron home.
- A notebook is handy to jot down ingo and ideas and keep track of your work.
- Short fingernails are recommended.
Make up Class Policy
- Any missed classes must be made up before the end of the session.
- Up to two make up days can be accommodated during the session.
- Make up session must be planned within the week after the missed class.
PRIVATE LESSONS- $75 Per 90 Minute Lesson

One on one instruction in throwing on the wheel, handbuilding, or glazing available for ages 13 and up.
Includes use of clay, glaze, firing, tools, studio equipment, and shelf space for work in progress.
TRY-IT WHEEL CLASSES

$65 per person
Try-it classes are a one time class, for 2 hours to experience throwing 2 forms on the potters wheel. Pieces will be glazed and ready for you in approx. 2 weeks. Great for couples and small groups (up to5 participants) Ages 13+ (children 7-12 can be accommodated but must be accompanied by an adult) Email or call for schedule to reserve a wheel.
